1990 Bally

It's a pinball fun emergency!  Now paging... DR. DUDE and his EXCELLENT RAY!  This game was produced in 1990 by Bally, who is known throughout the world as having produced the greatest and most sought after pinball titles of the 80's and 90's.  This game is extremely popular due to it's awesome cartoon theme and loads of cool playfield toys.  Do you sometimes feel like a geek and want to become a cool dude instantly?  Just visit the good doctor at the kinetic clinic where he'll zap you with his excellent ray and you'll be super-cool with just one treatment!  Now you can beat on that bully and get all the chicks!  This game has classic Bally style play with ultra fast ball movement and LOADS of playfield action.  It has an incredibly interesting layout and a great set of rules which make it an extremely popular game.  This was one of the last games made before switching to the newer dot-matrix style score display.

Start the game by plunging the ball toward the alternating "eye-chart" skill shot for big points.  Listen to the retro 80's style music bop in the background while you blast away at the objectives of the game to reach the goal of transforming your nerdy self into the ultra-cool DR. DUDE!  You need to be good to collect all of the attributes of a Super Dude.  Start out shooting for the MAGNETIC PERSONALITY and watch the ball get frozen in place by a hidden magnet.  Now go for the HEART OF ROCK'N ROLL target.  Next up is the GIFT OF GAB capture hole.  Don't forget to beat up on the BIG SHOT as he tries to torment you and kick sand in your face.  Fire the ball up the main ramp and watch as the ball gets flung around inside the SPINNING MOTORIZED MOLECULAR MIXMASTER!  Collect all of the attributes and go for the EXCELLENT RAY to start the MULTI-BALL frenzy which allows you to win MEGA-POINTS!  Dr. Dude is the first and only pinball machine to feature a GAZILLION POINT SHOT as the game keeps track of a progressive jackpot that builds and builds until you win!  Those features are just the beginning.  You have multiple ramps, captive holes, up-kickers, stationary targets, drop-targets, roll-overs, pop-bumpers, slingshots, loop shots, and more!  You can simply NEVER get bored with this game and the popular theme goes great in any home gameroom!

It's tough to find a Dr. Dude as nice as this!  The playfield on this game is beautiful with minimal wear and minor touch-ups.  The ramps and plastics are in excellent condition with very few imperfections.  Brand new playfield posts and flipper mechanicals have been installed along with a full L.E.D. lighting package.  The backglass translight is in beautiful original condition and the backbox was upgraded with color-matched L.E.D. accent lighting.  The cabinet on this game is in gorgeous condition and the artwork is original, not reproduction and is not faded.  The legs have been refinished and new levelers and bolts were installed along with new playfield glass.  See below for the full list of what has been done to this game.  This game plays lightning fast just like it did in 1990!
