This game was produced in 1990 by Gottlieb, creator of the most popular pinball machines on the planet!
Gottlieb was known for creating non-violent, family-friendly and just plain
fun games during the 90's. They came up with titles like Cactus Jacks,
Super Mario Brothers and Surf'n Safari to cater to families. Surf'n
Safari is the epitome of what pinball should be... a great theme with fabulous
artwork and a very easy to understand, yet challenging set of playing
rules. This game was produced in limited quantity with only about 2,000
units out of the factory, making it a somewhat rare title. Everyone that
plays this game agrees that it's a true blast to play! So come join
RODNEY the ALLIGATOR in his magical water park as he takes you on a tour of
his island oasis where you can laugh and play, and more importantly... score
BIG POINTS!
Listen to RODNEY the ALLIGATOR as he laughs, talks to you and clues you in
on what parts of the playfield you need to visit. Shoot the ball gently
to make the SKILL SHOT into the PLUNGE upkicker for a randomly awarded
value. The main goal of the game is to complete the center light grid by
shooting for five specific areas of the water park. Each area must be
visited five times to complete the sequence toward each of five special
scoring rounds. Hit the PIPELINE at the left and watch the ball get
popped into the cage to return back to the flippers. Complete it and the
orange target becomes worth 3 MILLION per hit for a limited time. Shoot the RAPIDS ramp
repeatedly at
the upper left and when you complete the sequence, the PIPELINE will become
lit for a MULTI-BALL FRENZY with a JACKPOT shot! Go for the BOOMERANG
and watch the spinner zoom as you collect big points on your way to the
250,000 point round! Drop the center targets five times and then you get
to hunt for all of the animals on the playfield for the SPECIAL! Go for the
WHIRLPOOL ramp and watch the ball spin round and round until it drops into the
POP-BUMPER arena! Complete the WHIRLPOOL and you're awarded with a shot
at a timed EXTRA-BALL round. There are loads of other features too, such
as the SOUVENIR SHOP which is a kicking target that can award points or even
an EXTRA-BALL! Visit the SNACK BAR drop-targets for a progressively
advancing point value, or visit the ARCADE for big points and a shot at the
SUPER SCORE! That's just the start... this playfield has an incredibly entertaining and well thought design that will keep you
challenged for
hours at a time. This classic and FAMILY-FRIENDLY theme goes great in any home gameroom!
A simply beautiful Surf N Safari game! Generally if you can find this title, it will have a severely
worn playfield, broken ramps and plastics and a faded out cabinet. The playfield on this game is in
excellent condition due to the installation
of a clear mylar protective layer that was installed over most of the
playfield when the game was
new. The often broken Rapids and Whirlpool ramps have been replaced with
new old stock original Gottlieb parts! The drop-targets, playfield posts,
flipper linkages and bats are brand new too!
The backglass on the
game is a new old stock original Gottlieb print. The cabinet is fantastic with only
minor of imperfections and some touch-ups. The chrome legs have been polished
and brand new levelers were installed. The game plays lightning fast just like
it did in 1991!

* BRAND NEW flipper bats installed
* BRAND NEW playfield plastic posts
* BRAND NEW chrome post caps
* BRAND NEW drop-targets and decals
* New old stock Rapids ramp installed
* New old stock Whirlpool ramp installed
* Slingshot plastic protectors installed
* BRAND NEW mirror-finish balls have been installed
* A full diagnostic test and software configuration was performed
* Original owners manual and spare light bulbs are provided
