This game was produced in 1994 by Bally/Williams, creator of the greatest
pinball machines of the 80's and 90's. World Cup Soccer was created as
an Officially Licensed Product of the World Cup Soccer Association to
commemorate the 1994 World Cup. Let's face it, soccer has become the
number one kid participation sport in recent years in the USA and has always been
number one around the globe. This game puts you out on the field with
Striker, the cute doggie mascot of the World Cup as you try to tour the
country on your way to the big match. If you love soccer, you'll LOVE
this game! It's a great way for your family and friends to compete for
high scores and goals without breaking a sweat. This game incorporates
all of the greatness of the sport and will keep you and your family
entertained and challenged for years to come!
The music is really fantastic on this game as is the voice of the announcer
who tells you what you need to do. Pull the plunger for the COIN
TOSS skill shot and watch as the ball is fired up onto the field. There
is a near full-size soccer ball that constantly rotates as you play, creating
wild inertia on the pinball! Try to get the ball past the motorized
MOVING GOALIE! You can also try for the saucer hole near the goal and go
for the assist. Go for a free kick or shoot for the ramps until you get
them lit for the MAGNETIC BALL LOCK. Lock three balls and start the
MULTI-BALL frenzy where you can attempt the JACKPOT SHOT! This game also
features a magnetic ball saver between the flippers. If you think you'll
drain, press the secondary button on the left side and watch as the ball is
sucked from the path of danger and placed neatly on the left flipper for your
next shot! Try to complete all of the tour cities on your way to the
World Cup for even bigger points and more fun! Those features are just the
beginning. You have ramps, ball scoops,
stationary targets, roll-overs, pop-bumpers,
slingshots, kickout saucers, loop shots, and more! With all of
the features of this mega-modern-classic, you can NEVER get bored with it! The popular
and FAMILY-FRIENDLY theme goes great in any home gameroom!
Hold on to your cleats because this is one GORGEOUS game all around! The playfield on this
game is in fabulous condition and the original factory clear-coat shines like
glass! The screened-artwork playfield plastics are all brand new.
The frequently
worn-out soccer ball on the playfield is brand new as well as the goalie target! BRAND NEW flipper bats and mechanicals have been installed along
with new playfield posts, pop bumper caps, lane guides and saucer hole inserts.
Stainless-steel hole protectors have been installed throughout the playfield.
The backglass
translight artwork is very nice with minor blemishes. The cabinet on this game is in truly
excellent condition and unfaded with minor blemishes which have been touched
up. Brand new legs, bolts and levelers have been installed as well as brand new playfield
